I am starting off my blog with a book recommendation. I already read this book written by Benjamin Alire Sáenz, Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. Recently, Benjamin released a sequel of his book, Aristotle and Dante Dive Into the Waters of the World.
I haven't read it as I just finished the reread for the first book. This is one of my favorite read for this year.
"I sometimes think I don't let myself know what I'm really thinking about. That doesn't makes much sense but it makes sense to me."
There are a lot of lines that seems to know me a lot by heart. I don't know how but it moves my soul. I felt happy with my journey, discovering the secrets with Ari and Dante. There were both simple and yet complicated. Especially, Aristotle's mind. I loved how he always asks and seeks for the answers.
I think this will always be my comfort read. It reminds me of my youth. It reminds me of how happy it is to be a kid for once. And it reminded me on how to be a kid even when you're an adult. Even a young person has his own private wars, we are as well. All of us in fact. "We all have to bear things, Ari. All of us."
Ari and Dante reminded me how curious we are as a person. How we always try to discover the secrets of the universe thinking it might be the key to find the happiness, love, or peace we all deserve... Little did we know, it may not be the secrets per se. "All of the answers had always been so close and yet I had always found them without even knowing it."
So you who might be reading this right now, what are you waiting for?
If you want to feel again once more how it feels to be young, in love, and caged yet free, read it now. If you want to discover the secrets of the universe, come and be with Ari and Dante.
You, cheers for finding that person to share with what you've discovered so far. Let's cheers for fighting with your private wars. I am so proud of you. You should too. <3
