The PBB Experience

Over the course of being a housemate—a junior story editor in Pinoy Big Brother—I have learned that the best teacher is not only limited in the four corners of every room. If you allow yourself to roam around and lend an ear, you'll learn a thing or two.

As student

Bilang isang estudyante sa isang modernong panahon, kinakailangan na bukas ang iyong isip sa anuman posibilidad na maaaring may mas magaling sayo dahil iba-iba ang tinatawag nilang learning curve. Sa huli, dapat ang isang tao na katunggali mo ay ang sarili mo. Sa kanya ka dapat mas magaling.

As a person

Mahalaga ang pakikinig sa kapwa dahil marahil ay dito ka pa mas uunlad hindi lamang bilang isang tao pero para na rin sa iyong trabaho. Ngunit, mahalaga rin na manatili ang pagkakaroon ng mariing pag-iisip kung dapat ba pakinggan ang isa o hindi dahil maaari rin itong may hindi magandang dulot.

Parte ng mga natutunan bilang estudyante during training ay ang siyang magiging haligi ng kung anuman ang trabaho bilang editor. Bilang parte ng creatives, mahalagang marunong mag-stretch sa lahat ng bagay, ideya man o panibagong plano. Nakatulong ng malaki ang pagiging jack-of-all-trades.

Established and managed a small business specializing in handcrafted, women-centered accessories.
Conceptualized, designed, and produced lines tailored to customer preferences.

Created marketing materials and maintained a cohesive visual aesthetic across social media platforms.
Planned and executed content calendars that increased engagement by 14.1% on Facebook and 61.2% on Instagram within 28 days.

Handled end-to-end business operations including customer service, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
Built brand presence through bulk orders and collaborations, ensuring customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.

Writing Experience - Internship

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Over the past years of being a student leader, holding the position of either President or Vice President, I have gained experience for administrative work. I also had an experience curating social media accounts as a content creator and a business owner as well. Moreover, I gained experience with script writing while being in the position as segment writer. So, these experiences honed me as a creative person which has helped me all throughout my internship journey in PhilStar Daily Inc. Being part of the Internals Team gave me the freedom to express my own ideas while also learning every day through the whole team.

I did the Mother's Day and Father's Day Campaign 2025 for PSN and the deck for it too.

I did the script for NakakaLocal: Food Fest 2025's launch for Day 1. I also wrote some captions for the MSME booths.

I video recorded the MSME booths for the first day which I also same day edited that day, which to be posted on PhilStar's official social media as a wrapped up story.

I wrote the PSN 39th Anniversary: Liga Nagyon 2025 script for their program at Batasan Hills Covered Court. During the event, I also video recorded some clips which I edited that same day too.

I wrote for Day 1 and Day 2 Program of SHE SLAYS 2025: Girl Coded Convention. We had revisions so, Ms. Guilla (Immediate Supervisor) and I attended a metting with the MKT Team for the revisions we had to do.

I attended the Day 1 and Day 3 of SHE SLAYS 2025: Girl Coded Convention, and I was tasked to do the SDU again with Ms. Ashley. During the Day 3, I was tasked to do a photo coverage of the afternoon event.

Outside School Commitments

Events that happen outside of the four-corner room can occasionally make you feel quite jittery. Every ounce of the stories of these people who's out of reach cripples at the back of your mind.

The STITCH (Social Entrepreneurship Training for Inmates Towards Circular Economy & Holistic Development) Program was held last April 2024 at BJMP QC Female Dormitory. It was done to create new opportunities for our female PDLs (Persons Deprived of Liberty).
